Type 1 Diabetes Support Group — In-Person

Join us for the type 1 diabetes (T1D) support group to receive encouragement from your peers. Whether you are adjusting to your diagnosis, or have been managing T1D for many years, you are invited to share your successes and talk through psychosocial challenges with others who understand what it's like to live with T1D. The group will meet from 5:00 - 6:00 pm on the first Tuesday (in-person) and the third Tuesday of each month (virtually). Please register here for in-person dates. Sweet Life Cooking Demonstration

Join the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center for a cooking demonstration that focuses on healthy cooking and nutrition management for those with diabetes. The demonstrations will be facilitated by one of our Hoag registered dietitians and Hoag chefs. Cooking demonstrations are offered in Newport Beach. Registration is required. Please arrive 15 minutes early – seating begins at 4:45 p.m. The cooking demonstration will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m.

Diabetes Education Series: hAPPily Managed

The Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center and the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) are partnering together to host an in-person event for people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and their support systems. We invite you to join us as you connect with others in the community and gain a greater perspective on the different apps available in managing diabetes and how they can provide a positive outcome to our overall care. Registration is required. Please arrive 15 minutes early-seating begins at 5:45 p.m. The event will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.
