Eduardo Fernandez Hernandez

Eduardo Fernandez, MD, is a hematologist and medical oncologist who specializes in plasma cell dyscrasias, lymphomas, autologous stem cell transplant and cellular therapy. Dr. Fernandez is highly experienced in the care of multiple myeloma and malignant hematology. He has a particular clinical interest in closing health care gaps and disparities for these conditions and helping expand access to vital care and treatment for all communities.

Dr. Fernandez prioritizes building trusting and genuine relationships with each patient and their family members. He is committed to an evidence-based approach that tailors treatment plans to the patient’s individual needs.

His research interest focuses on understanding the underlying pathways in multiple myeloma and plasma cell disorders. Dr. Fernandez has published his research findings in high-impact journals and has delivered presentations on his research around the United States and overseas.

He completed his fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Southern California (USC) and is proud to continue his career at a medical center dedicated to exceptional patient care and outcomes. Dr. Fernandez has a passion for education and serves in several committees for patient outreach including the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).

Outside of work, Dr. Fernandez enjoys weight lifting, travel, and the beach.
